Birthday present no. 2

I told you about the Nordic Delight Norwegian Night Daan took me to for my birthday, but there is another birthday gift I want to share - it's this clothes rack that Daan made for me. So sweet - I told him I wanted something like this and that I found one that I liked but that was way too expensive, so he decided to make his own version. I think it's so cool!

Currently on the rack (from left to right): vintage dress, via Nen Xavier; white shirt, Equipment; graphic shirt, Acne; black shirt, En-dress by Endresz; dark-grey cardigan, Hope. And under it: white shoes, MOMA; black shoes, Church's. Oh and there's a little belt from A.P.C.

Revolution 030

My lovely daughter - now 1,5 years old - who has been very much into Daft Punk lately. ;-) (trust me, this was not my idea)

p.s. on the black Wassily style chair are a brownish plaid from Humanoid and a yellow blanket by Tina Ratzer. Oh and Rosa is wearing a pink cotton dress by Gray Label + a woolen fleece jacket by Cosilana (available on www.babynatura.nl).

Lunch at Tomek & Suzanne

Last Sunday we were invited by Tomek & Suzanne for a full monty 12-course lunch at their 'living room restaurant' SMAK. On Saturday SMAK was already open because of the international Restaurant Day, but Tomek and Suzanne decided to open their doors for another day (yay!!). Tomek is a chef, we first met him in a restaurant where he used to work. He got off the radar for a little while when traveling with his lovely girlfriend Suzanne, but we met again in Vaartsche Rijn (one of our favorite restaurants in Utrecht), where he now works. Then there was the Norwegian Night at Ekko (the one I told you about), where Tomek and Suzanne happened to be too. We had a great evening together and were so happy to receive their lunch invitation afterwards. And what a lunch it was... WOW. Out of their tiny kitchen the most incredible dishes appeared, each so pure of taste and so carefully presented. There were a Polish influence (Tomek is from Poland), refined cooking techniques, the loveliest wines and a lot of passion. Below is a little photographic report. Tomek & Suzanne, thanks so much!!!

Summer - I'm ready!

I love these leather flip flops from MOMA. Mmm... they make me long for the summer (and of course remind of my friends of last summer - which did not prevent me from buying these though) (lots of good reasons, trust me ;) ).
